Amy O'Connor left her career as a private music instructor in the spring of 2010 to pursue her passion for photography. Finding great joy in the unexpected, most of Amy's works are spontaneous and not calculated. Whether or not she manipulates a raw image, she relishes in the knowledge that she has the ability to capture a moment in time and preserve it for generations to come. A photograph can speak to each of us on an extremely deep and intimate level, and Amy hopes that everyone who views her work will embark on a unique and special journey which will touch their heart, mind, and soul.Though Amy does travel, many of her photographs are taken locally in Pennsylvania in an effort to show that beauty can be found every day in the things that surround us. She hopes that her work inspires others to find artistry and beauty in their nearby surroundings and look at the world in a different light.
Amy's work has sold at art shows in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Florida. She also sells her work in her Etsy shop and various galleries. She is a member of the Art Association of Harrisburg.
